3/12/2002 - Today at the Embedded Systems Conference, BittWare, Inc. announced a new Hammerhead DSP board based on the low-cost 100 MHz ADSP-21161 SHARC® DSP. The Hammerhead-Lite-PCI (HLPC) board integrates four ADSP-21161 DSPs on a PCI short card, offering a total of 2400 MFLOPS of processing power. Available for less than $1 per MFLOP at list price, the HLPC delivers incredibly high performance at breakthrough pricing. The HLPC is the newest addition to BittWare's Hammerhead family of DSP boards and is targeted at high-end audio-visual applications demanding tightly integrated floating-point DSP performance.
