Virage Logic Announces First Commercially Available Non-Volatile Embedded Memory on a Standard Logic Process

2/25/2002 - As more complex systems supporting advanced functionality become implemented on a single integrated circuit, replacing stand-alone memory with embedded memory on-chip has become the choice of many designers developing systems-on-chips (SoCs). Embedding memory results in higher speed and lower power for the system and is typically more cost effective than using stand-alone memory. Because of this market demand, Virage Logic Corp. (Nasdaq:VIRL), a global leader in embedded memory, is enabling designers to cost-effectively embed more memories on-chip. Today, the company introduced the family of NOVeA(TM) embedded memories, with its first product, the NOVeA RAM embedded memory.
