2/26/2002 - Ramtron International Corporation (Nasdaq: RMTR), the world leader in nonvolatile ferroelectric random access memory (FRAM) and intellectual property, today introduced the FM30C256 as its newest device in an expanding line of FRAM-based Problem Solver products. The FM30C256, which uses Ramtronís low-cost 1T/1C FRAM architecture, is a 256-kilobit, two-wire serial FRAM data collection subsystem that combines nonvolatile RAM with a real-time clock, a CPU supervisor, and system tamper detection functions. A complete low-cost digital metering system can be implemented by combining the FM30C256 with a microcontroller and communications interface.
