California Micro Devices Expands LDO Voltage Regulator Family For Networking and PC Computing Applications

2/27/2002 - California Micro Devices (Nasdaq: CAMD) today announced the two newest members of its industry leading Power Wise Regulator(TM) Family. The CM3001 and CM3002 low dropout (LDO) voltage regulators are designed for leading PC applications, such as gigabit network interface cards (NICs) and other advanced PCI and PCMCIA cards that require very low dropout voltage at up to 1.0 Amp. The CM3001 and CM3002 can be used to supply fixed voltages of 1.3V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, and 3.3V from a 3.3V supply. The CM3002 also provides an enable pin to support low power shutdown mode. The CM3001 and CM3002 LDO products are also superior power management solutions for other applications that require lower voltage regulation, such as PCMCIA cards, PC computing platforms and personal electronics applications like set-top boxes and gaming consoles.
