City of Almere Primary Schools Get Connected with Sun

2/5/2002 - Sun Microsystems, Inc.(Nasdaq: SUNW) today announced that robust Sun servers and flexible, simple Sun Ray[tm] thin clients will provide the backbone for connecting the city of Almere's primary schools with Kennisnet, the Dutch Educational Service Provider. As part of the EBOAT (Electronic Primary Education in the City of Almere) initiative, the city of Almere aims to connect all local schools to Kennisnet, extending the power of the Internet -- including e-mail and online educational applications -- to 35 new schools and 11.500 students enrolled in the public school system.
