New MXT SystemI/O Technology from Broadcom's ServerWorks Business Unit Reduces System Power Requirements and Increases Rack-Mount Server Density

2/11/2002 - ServerWorks Corp., a Broadcom Company (Nasdaq: BRCM) and the leading independent supplier of high-performance SystemI/O(TM) integrated circuits for servers, today announced the availability of its Memory eXpansion Technology (MXT) SystemI/O core logic that doubles the effective memory capacity of Intel® Pentium® III-based servers and halves the number of DIMMs (Dual In-line Memory Modules) required for system operation. The new SystemI/O technology reduces system power requirements and enables denser designs of 1U and blade servers.
