Picosecond Pulse Labs And TriQuint Semiconductor Demonstrate Optical Networking Driver Module With 43GB/S Performance

2/12/2002 - Picosecond Pulse Labs, Inc. today announced the development of an advanced 43Gb/s Lithium Niobate modulator driver module for high-speed optical networking applications (see performance data below). This extremely broadband driver is targeted for the OC-768/STM-256 (40Gb/s) telecommunications market. The availability of 43Gb/s Lithium Niobate modulator driver modules is a key enabler in the development of OC-768 optical transport equipment. As major telecom equipment manufacturers bring their new OC-768 systems to market, they will benefit from being able to use familiar single-ended Lithium Niobate modulator technology with this new driver product.
