Microsoft and Texas Instruments Introduce Windows Powered Smartphone 2002 and OMAP Reference Design

The smart phone solution pushes platform integration to a new level and offers users voice, data and multimedia capabilities such as mobile access to e-mail and personal information, robust Web-browsing capabilities, audio and video playback and streaming, and rich gaming. Microsoft Corp. and TI announced their combination package at the 3GSM World Congress 2002 in Cannes.
