12/24/2002 - M-Systems (Nasdaq: FLSH), a leader in flash-based data storage products, announced the appointment to its Board of Directors of Dr. Hans Wagner, a prominent European entrepreneur and telecom leader with close links to major mobile communications companies, such as Nokia and Ericsson. The appointment of Dr. Wagner comes as M-Systems is increasing its presence in the mobile market with its Mobile DiskOnChip gaining greater adoption from the industry's leading personal data assistant (PDA) and cellular phone manufacturers.

These design wins are in addition to the previously announced by M-Systems, and were achieved as part of joint cooperation with Toshiba. Sales to these customers will be done by M-Systems and Toshiba.

Dr. Wagner is currently senior partner of Omega Partners Ltd., a communications consultant firm based in London, and serves on the boards of Ozone Ltd., a manufacturer of ozone, and Pelikon Ltd., a developer and manufacturer of electro-luminescence displays. He was strategic adviser to Ericsson Mobile Management from 1995 to 2000. Between 1984 and 1991, he founded and served as chairman of Technophone Ltd., a mobile phone manufacturing company which was in third place in worldwide sales and was then acquired by Nokia.
