TI Offers Industry's Fastest Nanopower Comparator in SOT23 for Low-Voltage Applications

12/20/2002 - Targeting low-voltage, power-sensitive applications that require voltage level detection, Texas Instruments (TI) Incorporated (NYSE:TXN) announced a family of push-pull output comparators from the company´s Burr-Brown product line. Featuring nanopower (1.2uA), fast response time (6us), SOT23 packaging and 1.8V operation, the devices are ideal for portable and battery-operated systems, such as medical equipment, wireless security systems, handheld instruments, temperature measurement and remote control systems.

"The nanopower TLV349x offers an unmatched combination of features -- 1.8V supplies, fast response time, low quiescent current and tiny SOT23 packages -- to address the needs of high-volume portable and space-restricted applications," said Tadija Janjic, strategic development engineer of TI's high-performance amplifier products.

Input common mode range 200mV beyond supply rails makes the TLV349x family well suited to two-cell applications. Single, dual and quad versions are each specified from -40C to +125C.
