Mercury Computer Systems Boosts Performance of Popular RACE++ Multiprocessor Development System

12/6/2002 - Mercury Computer Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MRCY) announced the RACE++® Series AdapDevTM 1200 multiprocessor development system. The AdapDev system is a complete development package, including hardware and software, optimally configured to support the design, integration, and testing of digital signal and image processing applications. It enables teams of researchers and developers to create scalable, high-performance applications in parallel, improving productivity while reducing costly development time. Applications developed on an AdapDev system can be deployed on any of Mercury’s PCI, CompactPCI, VME, or multi-ported RACE++ target platforms.

The AdapDev 1200 system is a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) RACE++ multicomputer packaged inside a deskside personal computer. The AdapDev 1200 upgrades Mercury’s AdapDev product family by providing 25% more speed with RACE++ VantageRTTM PCI modules that incorporate the 500 MHz PowerPC 7410 microprocessor. The RACE++ switch fabric provides high-speed, deterministic data exchange between processors. Software elements of the package include a full suite of advanced multiprocessor development tools including the MULTI++® Integrated Development Environment (IDE), Trace Analysis Tool and Library (TATLTM), Scientific Algorithm Library (SAL), and Parallel Acceleration System (PASTM).

The AdapDev 1200 system comes in two configurations up to eight processors and is priced to fit into project budgets that allow every developer of RACE++-based solutions to have one. Pricing starts at $35,000 for a two-processor configuration. Systems are available 30 days or less, after receipt of order.
