New Customer and Reseller Wins Strengthen Marimba's Presence in European Markets

12/3/2002 - Marimba, the Software Change-Management Company, announced that new customer wins and resellers have strengthened Marimba's presence in Europe.

European companies such as Admiral Insurance, Credit Agricole, GE Capital, Hill House Hammond, Herman Miller UK, Hutchison 3G UK Limited, Leisure Link, Mourant Services Ltd., NextiraOne, NPower, OcÚ, Oxfam International, Shepherd, Southern Water, United Advertising Publications, and Yorkshire Water Services Ltd. have adopted Marimba's Desktop/Mobile Management and Server Change Management offerings to manage, update, and maintain their enterprise IT assets.

Additionally, resellers including ADD, Computacenter, DV Trend, Maersk Data, Morse France, PI Services, and Santix AG have initiated alliances with Marimba.

For example, Shepherd, one of Europe's leading construction companies will be able to automate its software rollouts to its staff working on-site and to facilitate its asset and inventory management, following its implementation of Marimba's Desktop/Mobile Management solutions. According to Zoe Turnbull, IT director at Shepherd, "Working in a dispersed environment at multiple locations brings with it a wide range of IT management issues. Herman Miller UK, the award-wining furniture manufacturer, has implemented Marimba's Desktop/Mobile Management products globally to automate the distribution and installation of software; manage existing applications for desktop, laptop and mobile users; and collect hardware and software inventory. These management capabilities will help Herman Miller UK to reduce IT administrative costs. Mike Knight, IT director at Herman Miller comments, "We have about 30 percent of our desktop and laptops now built using Marimba and, even though we are not yet using the maintenance capabilities, we are already seeing a reduction in the number of help desk calls."
