Data Device Corporation: Sucessful AS9100 Audit By Boeing

12/2/2002 - Data Device Corporation (DDC) is please to announce that they have successfully passed Boeing’s AS9100 audit without any nonconformance. The quality system assessment was completed at DDC’s Bohemia, New York facility on November 13, 2002, including a review of all special capabilities necessary to develop and/or manufacture products for The Boeing Company (Boeing).

The AS9100 is an Aerospace Industry Specification that is derived from ISO9001.

The purpose of AS9100 is to:

  • Standardize Aerospace quality expectations on a global level.
  • Achieve improvements in quality and reduce costs throughout the value stream.
  • Add provisions for regulatory requirements and the importance of safety, reliability and maintainability not captured by ISO 9001.
  • Capture aerospace supplements agreed to at an international level.

Data Device Corporation is an international leader in high-reliability data conversion interface components and subsystems for military and commercial applications. Established in 1964 with the introduction of the first synchro-to-digital module, DDC has design and manufacturing facilities in their Bohemia, New York headquarters and Cork, Ireland.
