Advantech Wins Fujitsu Order to Supply into Singapore Telecom

11/14/2002 - Fujitsu's FETEX-150 Digital Switching systems have been deployed by telecom operators all over the world, which includes Colombia, Zimbabwe, UAE, Kuwait, India, China, Indo-China, Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore, to name a few.

Singapore Fujitsu is the regional technical support center for South East Asia.

In Fujitsu continuous efforts to improve on customers' O&M management, they have developed several O&M terminals to simplify the work processes of their customers. Which include the F-MODE, an intelligent replacement of the Magnetic Tape Unit and the FETEX-DESK, another intelligent human-machine interface with their FETEX-150 switching system.

This is where Advantech plays its role here. Advantech IPC-602P3-30X with CPU card PCA-6180VE complete system is use in replacing traditional Magnetic tape unit with client applications server to house the F-Mode Solutions.

Advantech IPC-602 is suggested in this solution due to its 2U sleek design, further to that, 2 sets of demo units are place at site for 6-month to do testing on the interoperability and functionality of our server with the Fetex-150 Digital switch. To test the reliability of our server, a 24hr intensive burn-in was done to make sure of that. The success of all these testing mark the victory footsteps of Advantech in this project.

280 sets of IPC-602 are deployed at Fujitsuˇ¦s customer site throughout Singapore.
