11/7/2002 - Avnet Applied Computing, focused on the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and system builder markets, successfully completed its annual ISO 9001 surveillance audit, performed by TUV Essen, an internationally accredited registrar for the International Standards Organization. Avnet Applied Computing's North American operations were judged to be in complete conformity with the ISO 9001:2000 standard, which is the most comprehensive level of certification available.
Avnet Applied Computing's surveillance audits were performed as part of the normal activities required to maintain ISO 9001:2000 quality standards. The company first received ISO 9001:2000 certification for its North American operations in July 2001.
