11/7/2002 - AudioCodes, a leading provider of media gateways, media processing technology and system solutions, and Main.net Communications, the market leader in power line communications (PLC) broadband access network solutions, announced a joint VoIP telephony solution over powerline and the successful completion of interoperability testing. Main.net can now offer its PLUS telephony solution including AudioCodes' Mediant 2000 Gateway to its customer base worldwide.
AudioCodes' Gateway connects Packet Telephony Voice Networks with the public switched telephony network (PSTN) enabling PLC telephony subscribers to communicate with wireline or mobile users worldwide.
