Cypress Quarterly Customer Survey Shows ConnectionCenter Support Site Successfully Addresses Tech Support and Responsiveness Issues

11/6/2002 - Cypress Semiconductor announced that the company’s most recent quarterly customer satisfaction survey indicates that the Cypress ConnectionCenterTM online customer care system, launched last July, has already successfully addressed the top customer concerns of technical support and responsiveness. Cypress customers that have used the system already report an overall satisfaction rating that is higher than the industry average, while responsiveness is rated highly by more than 75 percent.

Third-quarter survey data indicates that Cypress customers have identified the company’s primary strengths to be product quality, technology and product development leadership, customer focus, and sales skills. Compared to all other Cypress product lines, Cypress subsidiary Cypress MicroSystems received the quarter’s highest scores in overall customer satisfaction and loyalty. Satisfaction with the Cypress web site improved for the second consecutive quarter.

"It was gratifying to hear that Cypress customers who had used the Cypress ConnectionCenter system say that our responsiveness exceeds their expectations and that their overall satisfaction ratings for technical support are higher than our industry," said Ralph Schmitt, Cypress executive vice president for sales and marketing. "The ConnectionCenter system is part of a broad customer satisfaction effort that enables us to better tune in to our customers’ needs. As the business environment continues to become more competitive, Cypress has positioned itself to listen to its customers and support them fully to maintain and increase their loyalty."

The Cypress ConnectionCenter online customer care system is part of a corporate customer satisfaction initiative. The system provides a product FAQ database, product technical support, and customer issue resolution.
