11/4/2002 - Anritsu Company announced that its MD1230A Ethernet/PoS Test System received the "Tolly Tested" designation from The Tolly Group, the networking industry's premier independent test lab, in recognition of its acceptance as a test tool for The Tolly Group's labs. As a result, Anritsu's MD1230A will join The Tolly Group's Test Tools Pavilion that presents the latest information on leading test tools.
"The Tolly Group has always taken great pride in providing networking professionals with valuable insight on the leading products in the industry. That commitment is evident with the addition of the MD1230A to The Tolly Group Test Pavilion," said Kevin Tolly, president and CEO of The Tolly Group. "Its ability to test and analyze up to 10 Gbps in a self-contained unit and its unique in-circuit Ethernet analysis capability will prove extremely valuable in both our field and lab tests."
As the premier independent test lab, The Tolly Group works with virtually every major vendor and evaluates the most important products and technologies in the networking market. The MD1230A will be used by The Tolly Group to conduct various field and laboratory tests on many of these products.
The MD1230A is the industry’s most flexible Ethernet and IP test instrument, providing Ethernet and PoS performance testing and analysis over a 10 Mbps to 10 Gbps range. It provides a unique solution to manufacturers, service providers, system integrators, and network managers who need a single portable self-contained instrument that can test a large number of high-speed ports simultaneously as well as perform SONET/SDH analysis.
Anritsu’s MD1230A offers unique performance analysis features for engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance testing of high performance Ethernet and IP devices, including routers and switches. Options for over 400 protocol decodes and popular expert analysis technology from SnifferTM Technology greatly enhance network troubleshooting. The MD1230A excels in interoperability and field network testing that service providers need. Its advantages include the ability to conduct real time measurements of in-service Ethernet and PoS traffic, as well as capture in-service data with uniquely large buffers that dramatically simplify network faultfinding.
