10/28/2002 - Wavemakers, a developer of voice enhancement software, announced that its entire suite of software products is fully optimized on the Intel ®PXA250 and Intel®PXA210 applications processors. Wavemakers has customized specific portions of its software library to take full advantage of the processors’ multimedia capabilities and the Integrated Performance Primitives (IPPs) provided by Intel. Wavemakers’ products enable voice recognition and response applications to work where people work - in noisy environments. Over forty combined years of research have gone into the development and refinement of Waveware software modules. The Waveware suite of software products uses the latest AudioIntelligence® to create superior speech-driven human-machine interfaces.
"In the context of working with Johnson Controls, Inc. for the DaimlerChrysler U-Connect program, Wavemakers has worked closely with Intel to optimize key voice recognition and communications functions," said Richard Sones, Director of Sales & Marketing at Wavemakers. "We appreciate the technical support Intel has given us throughout this program."
"Telematics applications have to work in noisy, mobile environments," said Mike Iannitti, Director of Intel’s Extended Computing Division. "Intel has found that Wavemakers' software suite, which includes acoustic echo cancellation, noise suppression and speech enhancement, improves the performance of speech recognition applications on Intel XScale technology based application processors."
In better than real time, Wavemakers' ClearStream speech capture software detects and extracts voice from virtually any audio signal. A high performance solution with minimal memory and processing load impact, ClearStream is the new front-end archetype for voice user interfaces.
