10/17/2002 - Agilent Technologies announced that it has been selected by Cisco Systems as the recipient of Cisco's annual Optics Manufacturing Award. Agilent is one of the leading optical transceiver suppliers to Cisco, and having won the Cisco President's Award last year, is the first company to win Cisco optical supplier honors in consecutive years.
The manufacturing awards are presented in several product categories, and are given to acknowledge companies that routinely exceed expectations in key areas, such as flexibility and responsiveness, technology, value, quality, and service and support.
"For eleven years, our supplier appreciation awards have recognized companies that have demonstrated outstanding leadership in their respective areas of expertise," said Steve Darendinger, vice president, Global Supply Management, Cisco Systems Inc. "Agilent's efforts to help ensure Cisco's success have been exemplary and we are pleased to recognize their contributions with this prestigious award."
"To be recognized by an industry leader such as Cisco is quite an honor," said Sharon Holt, vice president of Agilent's Enterprise Field Operation. "This award was made possible through the hard work and dedication of our R&D, manufacturing, marketing, sales, and customer service organizations."
