Electro Rent First to Offer Agilent Technologies' New, Integrated Microwave Signal Generator

10/15/2002 - Agilent Technologies and Electro Rent announced that Electro Rent will be the first Premier Rental Partner (PRP) to offer Agilent's recently introduced E8267C PSG vector signal generator, which will be showcased at Autotestcon. As an Agilent PRP, Electro Rent is offering design and test engineers and equipment manufacturers access to the latest Agilent test and measurement (T&M) equipment, which enables them to keep pace with rapid technological changes.

The Agilent E8267C is the industry's first microwave signal generator to provide vector modulation up to 20 GHz in a single, integrated instrument. With its arbitrary waveform generator and I/Q modulation capability, the E8267C is a critical tool for engineers working with wideband complex waveforms for a variety of microwave applications.

"In addition to stocking other recently launched Agilent PSG series signal generators, including the E8247C, the E8257C and the E4438C, Electro Rent made a sizeable investment in the Agilent PNA series vector network analyzers and PSA series spectrum analyzers to ensure that we offer the most comprehensive selection of the latest solutions for communications and component test projects," said Gary Phillips, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Electro Rent. "The investment reflects Electro Rent's commitment to helping customers enhance productivity, reduce costs and shorten time to market."

Electro Rent carries several recently introduced Agilent products, including the following products that will be demonstrated at Autotestcon:

"Until recently, manufacturers rented test equipment to replace instruments needing repair," said John Boutsikaris, vice president of Agilent's Channel Partner Unit. "Progressive engineering and manufacturing companies now view equipment rental from companies such as Electro Rent as an excellent opportunity to 'try before you buy,' which enables them to stay competitive without incurring initial capital costs."

In addition to the PRP Program, Agilent offers a wide range of lease and installment plans, as well as trade-up programs for customers wanting flexibility in how they acquire equipment. These flexible financial solutions complement Agilent's new equipment offerings.
