10/15/2002 - VMIC announced the release of its Network and Shared Memory Driver suite, VMISFT-RFM2G. This new family of software drivers supports VMIC's next generation Reflective Memory products, VMIxxx-5565. The VMISFT-RFM2G provides an applications program with three convenient methods for exchanging data among hosts connected to the same Reflective Memory network: Programmed I/O, Direct Memory Access (DMA), and User Interrupts.
VMIC's Reflective Memory networking products provide high-speed, low latency transfer of data for a wide range of computing platforms with support for VME, PCI, and PMC buses/form factors. VMIC's newest generation of Reflective Memory products allows computers to easily share data in real time at rates up to 174 Mbyte/s with node-to-node latency as low as 450 nanoseconds. The Reflective Memory driver is available for Windows NT®, Windows® 2000, VxWorks, Linux, Tru64, Irix and Solaris.
