ALLTEL Selects Fujitsu Platforms for Michigan Network Infrastructure

10/10/2002 - ALLTEL announced that Fujitsu Network Communications, a leading provider of next-generation optical transport equipment, will provide ALLTEL with a wide range of Fujitsu FLASHWAVE® 4000 optical transport platforms for ALLTEL’s Michigan ring AXN network infrastructure.

"After thorough testing and analysis, ALLTEL selected Fujitsu Network Communications products for their extensive capabilities and competitive pricing," said Dennis Roofe Jr., ALLTEL network transport engineer. "The Fujitsu transport equipment will provide highly reliable, enhanced-capacity connectivity for our communications customers."

ALLTEL will begin work immediately with Fujitsu’s service organization, Fujitsu network services, on a rapid deployment of the Michigan network.
