10/9/2002 - AudioCodes, a leading provider of VoIP Technology, announced a VoIP media gateway cPCI platform that offers a T3 interface. The TP-2810 is one of the first Voice over Packet (VoP) cPCI Media Gateway to offer the full use of T3 PSTN connections with a capacity of 672 independent Low Bit Rate (LBR) universal channels, a 40% increase in channel density over the previous generation board. In addition, the TP-2810 is hostless and offers great flexibility for managing and implementing a distributed gateway architecture that separates call-processing functions from media streaming functions, resulting in better redundancy, scalability and higher system availability.
The TP-2810 was developed for OEM use in Central Office and large Enterprise applications. Developers will find the TP-2810 suitable for high-density VoIP gateways, large IP-enabled call centers, media servers and Next Generation Digital Loop Carriers (NGDLCs) using a T3 PSTN interface. AudioCodes latest offering in the TrunkPack Family meets the requests from OEMs for higher channel densities that allow for more channels to be offered in the same standard package. This latest addition to the AudioCodes TrunkPack board family provides reduced system cost and increased reliability with redundancy capability. Its feature-rich design makes it ideal for a wide range of applications, including Toll Bypass, Class 4 packet tandem switches, Class 5 replacements, and Access and Wireless Networks.

The TP-2810 is currently available to AudioCodes customers for beta testing and is currently scheduled for general availability in the first quarter of 2003.
The TP-2810 features includes support for PSTN protocols as ISDN PRI and multiple CAS variants, SIGTRAN (M2UA, IUA), VoIP streaming, various voice coding include G.711, G.723.1, G.729 and many more, G.168 2000 compliant echo cancellation, real-time Fax over IP/T.38, wide selection of In-Band and Out-Band tone detection and generation. The board is controlled via industry standard network control protocols MGCP (RFC2705) and MEGACO (H.248) with extra additional features supported by AudioCodes propriety API, all integrated into a 6U cPCI PICMG 2.16 compatible hardware platform enabling Ethernet redundancy through the back plane, and full Hot-swap support.
