SanDisk Introduces Four-In-One PC Card Adapter For Secure Digital, MultiMediaCard, Memory Stick And SmartMedia Flash Memory Cards

10/1/2002 - SanDisk introduced a four-in-one PC Card adapter for four widely-used flash memory cards: Secure DigitalTM, MultimediaCard, Memory Stick® and SmartMediaTM. It is the company's first PC Card adapter for the Memory Stick, a product it started selling last year.

Eric Bone, a SanDisk product marketing manager, said, "These four different memory cards have become very popular with consumers with many owning two or three different types of cards. Our new four-in-one adapter is a great addition to our line of connectivity solutions and makes it easier for space-conscious notebook owners to use the cards as they move data, images, audio and video between computers and various portable devices. SanDisk's new multi-card adapter features the fastest way to get images into your notebook computer without using an external connectivity device."

The new adapter is expected to sell for $39.95 and is expected to start shipping in October. SanDisk also announced that its current line of PC card adapters for SmartMedia, the MultiMediaCard and Secure Digital cards has been reduced to $34.99. The company will also continue to market its CompactFlash® PC Card adapter.
