10/1/2002 - The Titan announced that it has been awarded a competitive contract by the U.S. Air Force having a potential value, with options if exercised, of $33.2 million through December 2006. Awarded by the Air Force's Electronic Systems Center (ESC), headquartered at Hanscom AFB near Boston, MA, the contract supports ESC's Information Technology Services Program needs for the Force Protection Command and Control (C2) System Program Office (SPO).

"The Air Force's Force Protection C2 SPO is a vital contributor to the security and survivability of our military personnel, their dependents, and U.S. operating assets worldwide. The Force Protection C2 SPO is an acquisition and integration organization that provides Air Force Security Forces with integrated security systems and related force protection technology for the protection of Air Force personnel and resources around the world. In addition, this organization evaluates new technologies to enhance the Homeland Security posture at DoD facilities and pursues initiatives to capitalize on web-based technology for knowledge sharing with other security-conscience agencies and customers.
Under this award, Titan will provide technical and acquisition management support to product areas and programs that include Strategic, Fixed Site, Tactical, and Delay/Denial Systems, as well as Advanced Technology Programs.
Titan will also provide management and administrative support in the areas of system test, knowledge management, business management, financial management/cost estimating, logistics, and configuration control and data management.
