1/23/2002 - Ramtron International Corporation (Nasdaq: RMTR) subsidiary, Enhanced Memory Systems, Inc., and Cypress Semiconductor (NYSE: CY) have agreed to develop an expanded family of network communications memory products based on Enhanced Memory Systems' patented one-transistor ESRAM memory technology. ESRAM achieves the same speed, four times higher density, and four times lower power than traditional six-transistor SRAM. The new agreement follows the recent announcement of the 72Mb NoBL (No Bus LatencyTM) burst SRAM family jointly developed by the companies. The 72Mb NoBL is the world's highest-density SRAM product.
